Leisure activities in Slough
Leisure time is distinct from work time. Leisure is what we do when we're not at work or in education and Slough provides many opportunities for leisure activities.
For those in work, leisure helps to balance out people's lives, making a big contribution to out mental and physical well-being. For some people their football team, shopping, cinema, clubbing, dancing, TV, walking, computer, craft activity or whatever, is the great absorbing thing in their life.
If you are not working, leisure can take on a completely different meaning. Enforced leisure, with long periods of time to use up with little money to spend can become depressing and sap you of confidence.

This section looks at some of the activities which we normally associate with leisure. There is related information in other sections of this website and we have made links as often as possible. In particular the information on sport, holidays in the UK, transport, music and the arts, learning at home and local action (environment) will be useful.
Slough has numerous includes clubs and societies you join, including organisations like the Scouts and Guides, religious organisations like the Methodist Association of Youth Clubs and others promoting programmes of activity for young people like the Prince's Youth Business Trust and the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
